With just 31 days until Feathers in the Wind it seems like a good time for an update of activities. Feathers is in the scenic Vedauwoo Natural area between Cheyenne and Laramie Wyoming. There will be lots of room for camping, hiking or just relaxing along with the archery activities.
With regard to the Archery activities, there will be a clout shoot ranging out to 180 yards (or closer if folks have trouble sending arrows out that far), a wand shoot where each successive round gets a little farther away until only one person is left, a popinjay shoot where the target is a bird atop a tall poll (yes there will be flu-flu arrows for people to use). There will also be a Robin Hood shoot, and an Archers Duel. For the authorized Combat Archers there will be a Meanest Mother where combatants range out into the woods, and at a signal attempt to shoot each other until only one remains. There will be a number of combat crossbows available to loan along with plenty of bolts.
